  • WHEN SHOULD I START THINKING ABOUT HAVING MY CURRENT ROOF SYSTEM RESTORED?
    The best time to restore a single ply roofing system is before it starts to take on water due to deterioration. This typically means that a owner should be proactive about 5 years before his current roof's warranty runs out. The best way to save the largest amount of $$$$ is to be proactive.
  • MY ROOF HAS BEEN LEAKING, DO I NEED TO HAVE THE CURRENT ROOF TORN OFF IN A COSTLY RE-ROOF?"
    Re-roofs are expensive and time consuming. Opening up your building to possible summer thunder storms is a constent risk roofers deal with. We want to avoid a re-roof as much as you do for your own good. Industry standards tell us that if your roof is less than 25% saturated there is a high chance your roof is a good canidate for a restoration by re-surfacing. PLEASE PLEASE give us a call and we will give you free roof evaluations and estimates.
  • WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ACRYLIC AND SILICONE COATINGS?
    This is a very important question. These two coatings both have their place. If your roof is sloped well and sheds 95% of its water we would recomend an Acrylic coating system. Acrylic coatings can break down in ponding water and lead to water permeating through and into your roof. If your roof is slow sloped, we recomend a re-surfacing with Silicone coatings. Silicone is hydrophobic and has a 0% permeance rating, which means it will not break down under ponding water. It is a 100% vapor barrier.
  • WHAT IS THE LIFE EXPECTANCY OF MOD-BIT, EPDM, TPO, AND HYPALON ROOFS IF RESTORED WITH SILICONE COATING?"
    Restoring your roof with silicone takes you out of the world of throw away roof systems and into the world of sustainible roofs systems. Once your old roof has Silicone applied, it becomes trapped in a time lock. All of the stretching and shrinking is done. Gaco S2100 comes with a 50 year material warranty. Then add on top of that a 10-20 year factory inspected leak free warranty provided and held by Gaco. You will then have a roof that is better in every category than what was there before. Once your Gaco held warranty runs out you can simply re-surface your Gaco Silicone roof and be right back under a leak free warranty.
  • WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES TO A SPRAY FOAM AND COATING ROOF?
    There are 3 main advantages. First you get the added heating and cooling bennifits. Spray foam insulation is the best insulation availible. And this is great because your roof is your #1 loss of energy. Spray Foam on the outside of the building is great, because you dont have any mess on the inside during the application process. The second advantage is that it can be used on roofs that are to rough and uneven for a coating application. A Foam and Coating roof system is a great fix to a Tar and gravel built up roof system. The loose Gravel will need to be removed. Then the intire roof surface can be sprayed with 2" of high density roofing grade Foam. The Foam is then covered with a top of the line Acrylic or Silicone Coating. Gaco gives 15-20 year factory inspected leak free warranties over their Foam roofs. The third advantage is that a Foam Roof is also a sustainable roof system and can be resurfaced with a new top layer of coating every 15-20 years.
